Follow up actions from LMS Doc 2020-03 Support Staff Pay Award 2020- Updating SIMS.net and staffing spreadsheets

Following the recent LMS Doc 2020/03, guidance is available here https://www.schoolschoice.org/system/files/Support%20Staff%20Pay%20Scales%20April%202020%20%28002%29.pdf For those LA schools wishing to update the support staff payscales in SIMS.net with the 2.5% value. Please note, as stated in the LMS document, more details on the pay award are to follow and further updates to SIMS.net may be required when the pay award has been formally agreed. As advised, schools should review their budget to understand the impact of an award of 2.75%. It is recommended that schools take a copy of their current staffing spreadsheet and amend the April 2020 payscales tab cell ref ‘M6’ to 2.75%. The 5 year Management Summary should be compared to the values currently set in the budget for support staff salary costs. A virement may be necessary following formal agreement of the award.
