The claim is paid at the end of the financial year in which the claim is received. However, to receive the benefit you must purchase the Maternity Insurance within the year of the claim.
eg employee commenced maternity leave in 2017-18 financial year but completion of the 13 calendar weeks takes place in 2018-19 financial year. The benefit will be paid at the end of April 2019 (in the 2018/19 financial year).
