The High Needs Block covers those pupils in mainstream schools whose provision costs more than £10k per annum to support and all pupils who are in receipt of specialist provision.

A calculator is available to assist schools in calculating and monitoring their high needs funding. Details of eligible pupils and their bandings should be entered in to the High Needs Funding Calculator, to calculate the amount of funding your school will receive for each pupil.
Schools should be aware that High Needs funding is calculated on a termly basis, and paid termly in arrears.
