Following the agreed NJC payscales for 2018/2019, academies will need their approved 2018/19 & 2019/20 payscales loaded into BPS. Schools’ Choice will complete this task on your behalf, however we will need confirmation from yourselves in the first instance to ensure we upload the correct rates.

Once you know what your pay policy will be for 2018/19 and 2019/20, please contact us at  academies@schoolschoice.org. If you would like to adopt the NJC national rates or NJC Suffolk rates, simply let us know which payscale you would like to use. If you require anything different to these two options, please ensure you send us a complete listing of the points and amounts you would like loaded for both years.

As the agreed 2019 payscales have changed compared to previous years, we are completing additional work behind the scenes on BPS to ensure the system is inline. This means that the existing NJC payscale will need to be replaced with a new NJC payscale to be used from 2019 onwards.

Schools’ Choice will implement this new payscale into BPS and ensure it is attached to all relevant job roles from April 2019. As part of the process to link the new payscales up, academies will need to review their support staff and move them to the relevant paypoint within the new payscales. This will also act as a good review of all support staff within the system and ensure that progression is correct.

Once we have updated your BPS database to support the two payscales, we will write to you with more information on how to complete this process.

To ensure that your payscales are uploaded in a timely manner, please confirm your agreed scales as soon as possible.

If you have any questions about how the new payscales will work on BPS, please email academies@schoolschoice.org .
