An A Account is a Suffolk County Council Invoice or Debtor account, which is sent to someone who owes the school money. They have unofficially been given the name ‘A’ Account simply because the pre-printed sequential numbers on the stationery start with an ‘A’.
When an A account is issued the school will immediately by credited with the amount due. If the income team are unsuccessful in recovering the debt the school will be debited accordingly.
