Guidance titled 'Equality in Employment' sets out detailed information about who is protected under the Act, the types of prohibited conduct, how the law works and the potential penalties involved.

There is also information about the Public Sector Equality Duty, which all schools are bound by. The guidance is intended to help schools to demonstrate that they have considered how to prevent and minimise discrimination, whether intentional or not, and to promote a healthy workplace where everyone can be treated with dignity and respect.
